Artist Bio
Lauren Kelly is a visual artist based in Oklahoma. Specializing in acrylic painting, Kelly is best known for her distinctive style characterized by busy, asymmetrical deviations on traditional Potawatomi florals and dreamy, semi-surreal figures. Her work often explores themes of women and feminine figures, body autonomy, the interior of the human psyche, and ancestral connection.
Her work has been showcased in notable exhibitions, including the Keepers of the Land exhibit at the Sovereign Art Expo in Santa Fe in 2024. Additionally, Kelly's pieces have found homes in the collections of private collectors in Oklahoma City, Los Angeles, Austin, and beyond. She has also been actively involved in the Oklahoma City and broader Native art communities, earning awards at the Potawatomi Gathering and the Red Earth Festival, receiving recognition in Oklahoma City’s annual Hundred Magazine, and serving with several panels, committees, and arts advocacy efforts in Norman and Oklahoma City. Lauren Kelly is currently represented by Revolt X Tvlse in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
